One thing that stands out is the emphasis on interdisciplinary learning. For example, I’m a business student, but I took a module on Southeast Asian art history, which completely changed my perspective. The residential college system is another highlight; I live in Tembusu College, where dinners often turn into heated debates about everything from AI ethics to hawker food culture. The food scene here is incredible—NUS has its own hawker center! But it’s not all perfect. The workload is intense, and the humidity can be brutal when rushing between classes. Still, the connections I’ve made and the global exposure I’ve gained make it worth it.

I’m a first-year student majoring in Business at NUS, and my experience so far has been quite mixed.
