NUS is a powerhouse, and it’s not just about academics—it’s a lifestyle. The campus is stunning, with lush greenery and state-of-the-art facilities. One thing that stands out is the emphasis on interdisciplinary learning. For example, I’m a business student, but I took a module on Southeast Asian art history, which completely changed my perspective. The residential college system is another highlight; I live in Tembusu College, where dinners often turn into heated debates about everything from AI ethics to hawker food culture. The food scene here is incredible—NUS has its own hawker center! But it’s not all perfect. The workload is intense, and the humidity can be brutal when rushing between classes. Still, the connections I’ve made and the global exposure I’ve gained make it worth it.
View moreThe academic experience at NUS has been challenging, but in a good way. The professors are experts in their fields, and they push students to think critically and deeply about the subject matter. I’ve had some tough moments, especially during midterms, but the university offers great support through academic counseling, study groups, and peer tutoring. I also find that the resources available through the library and online portals are invaluable. Whether you’re looking for scholarly articles, research papers, or textbooks, you can find almost anything you need. The NUS peer mentoring program was also super helpful in my first year, as I had a senior guide me through the academic load and balancing study with other activities. NUS has made me a more independent and disciplined learner.
View moreStudying at NUS has been a journey of both academic rigor and personal growth. The curriculum is challenging yet rewarding, pushing me to think critically and engage deeply with my subjects. I appreciate the emphasis on research, which has allowed me to participate in projects that have real-world applications. The campus itself is stunning, with a blend of modern architecture and green spaces that make it a pleasant place to study and socialize. I’ve enjoyed attending various workshops and talks that feature industry leaders and innovators, which has broadened my perspective on career paths. However, the competition can be fierce, which may lead to stress. I encourage future students to seek balance and prioritize self-care. Ultimately, NUS has not only equipped me with knowledge but has also taught me resilience and the importance of community

View moreI’m a first-year student majoring in Business at NUS, and my experience so far has been quite mixed. The curriculum is comprehensive and covers a broad range of business disciplines, which is great for building a solid foundation. However, the workload can be overwhelming at times, especially with multiple group projects and tight deadlines. Socially, the campus is lively with numerous activities and clubs, but it can be challenging to find a balance between academics and social life. The support from professors and academic advisors has been excellent, though, which helps. NUS provides a good learning environment, but managing time effectively is crucial.
