Pursuing my Master’s at NUS has been an intellectually stimulating ride, albeit not without its fair share of bumps. The academic rigor here is palpable; you’re constantly pushed to refine your thinking and question established norms. What sets NUS apart is the faculty’s genuine commitment to fostering curiosity, not just lecturing. Their enthusiasm is contagious. I’ve particularly enjoyed the interdisciplinary approach — even in specialized fields, collaboration with students from other programs is encouraged. However, this doesn’t come without pressure. The workload can be grueling, especially during group projects that demand meticulous coordination. Still, the environment of academic excellence and innovation makes it all worthwhile.
