Being part of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore is everything I expected and more. The campus is incredibly futuristic, with cutting-edge labs and facilities that support innovative research. I’m studying engineering, and what I love most about NTU is the strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning. You’re encouraged to take courses outside your major, which broadens your perspective and allows you to think creatively. The professors are world-class, and their involvement in global research projects gives us access to the latest advancements in the field.
One thing that surprised me was the competitive academic environment. Everyone here is incredibly driven, which creates a high-performance culture. While that’s motivating, it can also be overwhelming at times. Singapore itself is a fantastic place to study – it’s safe, multicultural, and offers countless networking opportunities with regional and global companies. NTU’s location in one of Asia’s major tech hubs means you’re always close to major industry events and conferences, which has been a huge advantage for building connections.
