NTU has been an incredible journey for me as a computer science major. The curriculum is highly relevant, covering emerging technologies and practical applications, which has equipped me well for internships. The professors are often industry veterans, adding real-world perspectives to theoretical knowledge. The availability of cutting-edge facilities, such as tech labs and innovation centers, enhances the learning experience. However, the intense competition among peers can be daunting. I find that students often prioritize grades over collaboration, which affects the sense of community. Additionally, while the university does provide various support services, I believe there’s room for improvement in mental health resources, as many students face stress and burnout. The cost of living in Singapore also adds financial pressure, even with scholarships available. Despite these challenges, NTU has prepared me well for my career, and I appreciate the opportunities it has afforded me.
