University of Novi Sad - UNS (reviews)

As a 4th year student studying Computer Engineering and Computer Communications at this university, I am more than satisfied with the structure and content of the courses. Coupled with the possibility of replacing your classes with a full-time internship starting in the third year of studies which gives you the experience of working in your field of studies, the university exceeded my expectations with the opportunities it provides.

As for the direction itself, I would like to write the same thing again, the cooperation and approach of the professor are excellent. The disadvantage of the faculty is the material that is taught, and it is very outdated and inapplicable in practice. Also, the lack of practice itself is a minus, but the faculty has engaged in this field, so I hope that there will be positive changes in this segment.

The University of Novi Sad is nicely organized in terms of location, with almost all faculties, canteens and student dormitories in one place or close. Faculties organize quite useful student exchanges, which contributes to professional development. Criticism is directed at the Faculty of Philosophy because it could provide better study conditions and a more pleasant stay in the faculty building itself. As for the program itself, it is quite demanding, as shown by the fact that one to two students finish on time. Many students get a job for which they are already studying during their studies, which is a great advantage.

Interestingly organized program. Various opportunities for practice. Professors are approachable and assertive. The work in the laboratory is designed to follow the curriculum. Students learn practical things, which they can apply later in their career.

If I had a chance to re-enroll in college, I wouldn’t think for a second, I would choose the University of Novi Sad again.
If they asked me “Why Novi Sad again?”, I would tell them because of the people, the Danube, because of the incredible young spirit for which it is best known, as well as because of the education that from year to year only goes uphill. Many student organizations, as well as youth organizations, offer students the opportunity to volunteer and thus prepare for jobs after graduation, which makes the University of Novi Sad very proud.
The new situation with the Corona virus has put, not only the University of Novi Sad, a test of endurance, but also universities and schools around the world.
The University of Novi Sad soon adapted the teaching to the online regime and made sure that the lectures and exercises were equally interesting, even though they were not live, emphasizing that the safety of students, professors and all people comes first.

During COVID-19, all faculties adapted to online teaching to allow us to follow classes. The university provides us with a large selection of educational programs as well as master’s and doctoral studies. There are a large number of student organizations whose goal is for students to learn new and improve already acquired skills, gain new acquaintances, travel throughout Europe and improve their personality. In addition to student organizations, there are various projects on which students can work together with professors from their faculties, in order to implement their ideas into reality.

First of all, I would like to say that I love the fact that our university has a campus where all the facilities including some of the student dorms are located on one place.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Faculty of Technical Sciences successfully made a transition to online teaching and kept the high standard it established before the pandemic.
I’d say that our university is gladly to be of any assistance to students.
Our university does offer Master studies for many study programmes.
There are many job fairs organized on our university every year, some even by the students. That’s a great opportunity for all the students to find potential jobs or professional practices.
University of Novi Sad is home to many different student organizations, one of them being EESTEC. EESTEC especially gives the opportunity to all students of Faculty of Technical Sciences to travel, meet other colleagues , learn many things, improve their soft skills etc. EESTEC organizes some of the biggest projects on University of Novi Sad, one of them being KONTEH job fair.

The wide range of occupations and education that the University of Novi Sad offers is certainly the dream of every student. During these 3 years of studying, I never once reconsidered my choice of a place where I decided to continue my higher education and life.

A huge selection of educational programs of OAS, master’s or doctoral studies would bring every student’s idea closer to realization.

Novi Sad, a city known for its culture, young spirit and sweet Vojvodina accent, is an ideal place for every adolescent to live – every student will find some peace in it, including himself. We are lucky that all the faculties are in one place, so in the break between lectures we have the opportunity to share coffee with colleagues from nearby buildings.

The adaptability of teaching in the new conditions of the pandemic differs between the faculties, but the efficiency of all regimes is undeniable. Of course, student safety remains paramount.
