My faculty is very inspiring and beautiful. Of course, it is difficult to enrol and finish it, but all in all, I think that every artist at this university every faculty and every department can grow and develop. I think that’s the most important thing.
View moreI study at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. The curriculum is divided into practical work and theoretical knowledge and that’s my favourite part of this whole experience. Not only do you, as a student, get a chance to learn film history and theory, you also practically work with your fellow classmates on creating quality content and fun art projects. You get a chance to meet film professionals and make connections while still being in school. The professors are very invested in your education and are available 24/7 for any form of consultation and advice. Nearby we have a student’s restaurant and before covid we also had a student’s restaurant at the faculty. Overall, I am very pleased with the education and experience I got at this uni! The programs are very well thought out, and organized perfectly.
View moreI’m currently an MA student of film and TV directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, one of the four faculties (Faculty of Fine Arts, the Faculty of Music, the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts) that belong to the University of Arts in Belgrade. Previously I graduated on the same faculty at the same department (film and TV directing) and I was generally satisfied with my studies. The faculty had most of the departments that are needed for producing a short film, but the collaboration with the other faculties of the University of Arts was almost non-existent. This was a considerable difficulty since the collaboration between this faculties would be only natural, because for example both students of film and theater directing need fellow colleagues from costume design and set design (Faculty of Applied Arts) and it would be again natural that, since we are all in need of each other skills and talents to make a project (film or a play), we could be graded for our work on a single project. However, this is not the case, sometimes not even in our own faculty, since colleagues form the sound design, film production and cinematography have their own projects for exams, besides voluntary work they do on our films. Long story short- lot of opportunities here, but communication and programs needs improvement.
