My time at the Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA) was a meaningful and enriching experience, especially as a student in the IT program. The curriculum was intense and demanding, but it provided a strong foundation in both theory and practical skills that are highly relevant and competitive in today’s job market. The program challenged me to grow academically and professionally, and I left with confidence in my ability to tackle real-world IT problems. The university also offers access to modern facilities and a learning environment that encourages discipline and focus.

However, there were aspects of campus life that I found less appealing, particularly some of the strict rules regarding haircuts, dress code, and other lifestyle regulations. While I understand they are rooted in the school’s values, they sometimes felt overly restrictive. Despite this, I would still recommend AUCA to anyone serious about pursuing a career in IT. The quality of education, especially in the tech field, outweighs the inconveniences, and the discipline instilled can be beneficial in the professional world.

It was a nice university, one of the top universities in Rwanda, I am glad that i got a chance to study there, I was in the faculty of Information technology majoring in Information Management, It was an adventist university very strict on discipline and personal growth, we had good teachers, i can’t forget my teacher in Data Structures course, he was very cool and an very skilled in that domain. Every single
thing i learned in that school is starting to give positive outcomes in my life.

Studying at AUCA has been a unique and meaningful experience. One of the things that stood out most to me was the university’s strong emphasis on Christian values and integrity, which is reflected in both academic life and community behavior. If you’re someone who values a disciplined, faith-based environment, AUCA provides exactly that.Most professors are highly knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. They are approachable and often encourage students to ask questions and dig deeper, which helped me a lot in understanding complex topics. However, some classes can be quite theoretical, and I feel more practical sessions or updated resources (especially in tech) would make learning even stronger.

One of the best thing about them is not only the fact that the learning program is project based for Engineering student but also the way they put God first in everything and include some Bible related classes in their programs.
