I didn’t think about where I want to go for a long time. Considered and studied information about the Polytechnic University. An important factor for me was the prestige of this educational institution. Very strong teaching staff, friendly students, new classrooms. I also became a member of the student council, which is a separate topic for conversation. Organization of events, weekly gatherings, trips. I found many new friends and gained valuable experience and knowledge while studying at this university.

This uni lets you balance all the aspects of your education in a way you want it. It regards all of it’s students equally, either you are a tryhard worker who spends every minute of his life studying (I’m not saying that’s a bad thing) or you just want to enjoy all the different social activities being in university provides you. Most of the professors are quite relaxed about their subject, so they won’t make you work hard if you don’t really want to. Of course, it is going to take a toll on your grades, but you will not be kicked out unless you give up on studying completely – but why would you go there in the first place then.

Also from what I have heard the university is quite high-regarded among employers, at least in Saint-Petersburg, so career prospects seem to be great, though I am still studying, so I can’t say for sure.

Accomodation is not bad, but is not great either, just what you would expect from an usual dormitory.

Student life is one of the greatest among all Russian universities, it really was one of the decisive factors i was considering when choosing where to get my degree.

The only thing that can be disappointing is that some of the facilities are too old and in the very bad conditions, though they are about to be repaired very soon.

Overall a great choice, would definitely recommend for anyone. Maybe try considering some other options if you want some scientific career, because the load is not as high, as in some other places, so if you want to really work hard every day, you may find the amount of studying insufficient, but that’s really not likely.

I am a student at the Polytechnic University. My speciality is “Information security of automated systems”. It is my first year, and I love this University.
There are expert professors, interesting lectures, beautiful places. I am sure that I will get a great level of education. I enjoy my studying! It is really hard, but this knowledges are necessary. After classes every stugent can choose activities and relax

‘-‘: some equipment and manuals, that we study, are outdated. All buildings, except the main one, need to be repaired. Some teachers are incompetent in their subjects.

PETER THE GREAT ST. PETERSBURG POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY is one of the coolest and most modern universities in Russia at all.
When I was deciding which University to go to, Peter the great University suited me according to all the criteria. There are a lot of opportunities to be a real computer engineer such as really good lectures on this subject and the best professors in the world. Furthermore, here you can reach your potential and become whoever you want. If you want to sing – there are a lot of studios. If you want to drive a car – you can go to the driving university school. Want to travel the world – your choice is EESTEC or BEST organisations.
In conclusion, Polytech is a construction site on which you build your future.

The Polytechnic University has a fairly strong training of students in technical disciplines, such as physics, mathematics, and programming. Yes, it is not easy to learn, but the knowledge gained is really fundamental, there is also applied knowledge that is so necessary for employment. There are, of course, disadvantages: poor organization of the educational process, which is manifested in the uncertainty of whether there will be a specific pair. Also, all students take a loaded course in physics, which is not suitable for everyone in their specialty.
As for public training, this is student activity supported by the university. In the Polytechnic there is a school of adapters, kultorgov and many other public associations that direct active students in the right direction and form them in terms of sociability and other so-called soft-skills.

Perhaps, I will begin the description of my university with a small background. For a long time I could not decide where to go after all, I chose between ITMO and Polytech, in the end I chose the university with the proud name of Peter the Great.
After almost 2 years of study, I can confidently say that I did not regret my choice. Saturated student life (for me it is, I can say, the determining factor). Quality education. Decent working conditions. This is just a small list of what this university can give to people coming here. Of course, many may say that learning is difficult enough, but did someone say it would be easy? 😉 I came here for new knowledge, skills and abilities and now I get them in full. I have all the opportunities to realize myself as a person with an active citizenship. Lazy here is definitely not the place, but if you strive for knowledge and make efforts, you will surely help and support.
According to objective facts – a great location. The campus is located on the territory of a large park, the distance between distant buildings is no more than 15-17 minutes on foot. Dormitories are located no further than 2 metro stations (you can wake up 40 minutes before the start of school).
The University is actively developing projects and programs of cooperation and assistance to foreign students. Each student will be provided with all the necessary assistance from specially trained volunteer students.
Great opportunities for sports. On campus and campus there are about 10 athletic fields, a large stadium with artificial turf and its own sports complex with a swimming pool.
I am very glad that I am studying at this university and without shame of conscience I can send it to all my friends.
