A Management degree builds a strong foundation in a wide variety of fields including business, finance, economics and marketing. It develops students’ understanding of business practices, structures, business theory, business strategy and research as well as global economies and financial markets. Doing a Management Degree also allows students to gain skills that enable them to work with financial and numerical data effectively.
Management degrees cover different managerial roles, such as Human Resource (HR) management, hospitality management, innovation management, operations management, etc. They can be specialized into one of the areas mentioned above or follow a more general approach that covers most of these areas.
The range of management degrees is huge and includes Business Management, Management, Marketing Management, etc. They are predominantly offered in the business departments/business schools/management schools of different universities.
One of the main benefits of this degree is that Management is a broad discipline, which keeps students’ career options open.
Management degrees could have a very practical focus, which is an opportunity for students to gain experience in the process of completing their degree before having started their professional careers. Management courses usually offer work placements and practical modules, which include business simulations and business creation in a simulated environment. Acquiring practical experience through these opportunities could make students stand out from the crowd in the job market once they graduate. Research-oriented Management degrees also exist for those who prefer the theoretical aspects of such a degree. Most courses, however, have established a good balance between theory and practice in order to meet the needs of all students.
Management degrees also prepare students to serve the managerial role across a wide range of areas, including HR management, hospitality management, innovation management, operations management, etc. Students can specialize in one particular area or focus on gaining knowledge across all of these areas thanks to the high availability of different management courses.
Additionally, there is a high demand for management professionals in the contemporary business world. Therefore, taking a management course is an opportunity for students to kick-start their careers and occupy a higher position in the organizational hierarchy.
Management courses usually begin by introducing students to different areas covered by the managerial role, such as organizational management, business environment, statistics, accounting and finance, business growth, etc. After the first year, institutions allow students to explore the management discipline into more depth by delivering specialized modules and offering optional modules, which enable students to choose subjects that interest them the most and are most relevant to their career aspirations.
Management degrees take 3 years to complete in the UK. However, their duration could extend to 4 years if students choose to spend a year in industry between their second and third year, which is a popular option among the student community. Setting placement opportunities apart, the duration of a Management degree depends on three main factors – country, mode of study (part-time or full-time) and degree level. Below are listed the approximate durations of Management degrees in the most popular countries for Higher Education in Europe:

View moreFirst, the negative: this school isn’t listed as a school in Germany, making recognition of qualifications difficult. Positive: Close to reality, very well-structured modules, hard but effective and a good base for the worklife.

Student Support is very fast, super-responsive I think I have never waited an answer to any inquiry more than 10 minutes.
Business Coaches are professionals in their fields of expertise and are quite good in delivering their knowledge.
I like the fact that you are expected to follow strict deadlines when it comes to exams and writing projects, which has made me to organize my time better and more efficient.
Overall, good experience, and if I would have to do it again, I would choose the same business school.
View moreI thoroughly appreciated the program’s flexibility, which enabled me to live and work in three different countries while pursuing my online MBA. Initially, comprehending the materials independently seemed daunting without peers to engage with. However, my coach consistently provided honest feedback, dispelling any misunderstandings. Additionally, the program supported me in crafting a business strategy for my upcoming startup venture. Overall, it was certainly worth the investment. The only enhancement I would suggest is EU accreditation, which regrettably remains absent.
View moreI have the pleasure of sharing with you my experience at two of the most prestigious business and management schools. After two years of hard work in the dual DBA program between two honourable business schools, SSBM in Switzerland and EMAS in Russia. I have a Bachelor of Commerce in France, and a Master MsC from the UK and I am a full time employee. My new experience studying full program of strategic management in SSBM and EMAS is interesting, different, and unique. This journey was between study and practice; our intermediate project is a real-life, and update implementation of what we learn from business modelling, analysing, forecasting,
View moreI have been looking for a program that combines business theory and practice for several years. In other institutions, I found very good theory but little practice. At EMAS I found the perfect combination of business theory and practice. Studying at EMAS has been a great learning experience for me. I am very grateful to the teachers, business coaches, student support specialists and the Rector for all their attention and support during my studies.
THANK YOU EMAS
View moreWhen I saw the course outline I was excited and as I began to study it became even more intriguing. What I found most interesting was the practical approach to every course. It gave me the right tools to apply to my everyday work and life. For instance I was able to apply Time Management, Project Management, Process Management and even Sales skills while still studying the same, to achieve very positive results, both in my personal life and in the company where I work. I even extended some of my learnings to my team members at work, like getting them to carryout psychometric tests I got from the study to determine personality types and how best to structure the team for performance. I learnt the interconnections and dependencies in business and how there are best suited cultures for each strategy/goals of a company. In all it has been a very interesting time well spent. A warning ⚠️ though, it has not been a walk in the park – very hard work. As the saying goes, nothing good (quality) comes easy.
View moreThis program is mostly linked to the practical work. You will also be trained in theoretical tools, but most of these were already part of the previous training. I really enjoyed the training. It has a high international standard. The learning management system is well developed and the student care is timely and helpful. If you are a self starter, the program is well worth considering.
View moreAs a student at the end of my career rather than the beginning, I was looking for somewhere to teach me business in a different way, not more of the same. EMAS has given me a new perspective, a new set of resources and new connections. There are some language difficulties and some frustrations with studying outside of your comfort zone. But EMAS was just the fresh injection of thoughts and ideas that I was looking for.
