As a current student at Innopolis University, I’ve found the academic environment both challenging and inspiring. The university has a strong focus on computer science and technology, and the curriculum is rigorous, with a strong emphasis on hands-on projects. Professors are knowledgeable, and I’ve had the chance to work on innovative projects with some of the best minds in the field. However, the ongoing sanctions and geopolitical situation are definitely impacting us. Access to certain resources and international collaborations has been restricted, which limits some of the opportunities we previously had. There are fewer foreign faculty and exchange programs, making it harder to get that global perspective and exposure. Many of us are also concerned about the potential impact on our future job prospects, especially if we’re aiming for careers outside Russia. Still, Innopolis is doing its best to support students, and I appreciate the resilience and adaptability of the community here. For anyone looking to study tech in Russia, it’s still a great choice, but it’s essential to consider these current challenges.
