I studied at the Lower Danube University of Galati at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, specializing in accounting and management informatics for 3 years. Overall, my experience was an interesting one with positive moments and a few challenges. The university offers a wide range of faculties from engineering, economics and letters to medicine and arts, which makes it attractive for students with different interests. As for the teaching staff, they are very dedicated and open to communication, interested in explaining the topics and providing clarifications. However, the experience can vary from one subject to another: sometimes the courses are very practical and well-structured, and sometimes there is more emphasis on theory, which is boring for some students. The university also organizes cultural and sports activities, and the campuses include dormitories, canteens and sports facilities that help integrate students. A strong point is the Erasmus opportunity and international projects, which offer the chance to study abroad or participate in exchanges and collaborations. As a minus, sometimes the administrative organization can be cumbersome and some internship programs are not connected to the labor market, but with personal involvement, possible opportunities can be found. I recommend the CIG specialization from the FEAA faculty because it offers a solid base of knowledge in the financial-accounting field. The teaching staff is well prepared and clearly provides important concepts such as financial accounting and taxation. Practical activities and projects help in the applied understanding of the theory. Overall, it is a very good choice for those who want a career in accounting or similar fields.
