Looking back at my years spent at the Faculty of Automation, Computers, and Electronics (ACE) in Craiova, I can honestly say it was a journey worth taking. Choosing a technical path is never exactly “easy,” but the atmosphere at this university made the whole process feel right.
The curriculum for Automation is demanding—as it should be—but it’s structured in a way that actually makes sense once you get into the rhythm of things. What really stood out to me, though, was the faculty. You often hear horror stories about disconnected professors, but my experience was the opposite. Most of the teachers were genuinely “ok”—approachable, knowledgeable, and willing to help if they saw you putting in the effort. It didn’t feel like a factory; it felt like a learning environment where you actually mattered.
