Student review [#74428] for Foreign Languages and Literature

I had to study 2 foreign languages, so my major was French and my minor Swedish. What I studied was interesting, especially linguistics and literature, but I expected more from the teachers. I feel like we, the students, could have learned more efficiently if the academic atmosphere had been more relaxing and less stress-inducing. One of my favorite subjects was an elective course, about how women were viewed in comparison with men in the French medieval literature. Francophone literatures was a close second. Despite this, I did not really enjoy the courses on the history of the French and Swedish languages, but I understood their purposes.
