The first university of Romania

Everyone knows that Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași is the first university built in Romania, so its architecture would be the first thing to draw you there. I finished my bachelor’s degree in physics this year, and one thing that convinced me to stay at the university even though I wasn’t very passionate about physics is the community. I met people who fascinated me because they organize various EU-funded projects here, and if you’re lucky, you can be part of them too. The university is open to Erasmus students, so if you have thought about coming to UAIC but think that the Romanian language would be an impediment for you or that not knowing the Romanian community would stop you, know that studies are organized here in English, and along the way you would see many students from abroad. During my bachelor’s degree, I made friends from Turkey, Morocco, and even China, with whom I keep in touch even after they returned to their home countries. The university offers scholarships and accommodation, access to canteens, and free medical services, so as a student at UAIC, you have many opportunities.
