This university has been a place of growth and development. It count with a variety of programas en courses, also a wide community of students and a faculty of excellence. Theirs also a big number of students organizations which are a great opportunity for building relationships and community. The culture it’s a plus in this campus, it’s a great place to develop not only professionally but also personally.

Academics & Classes:

UPRH is strong in fields like biological sciences, environmental studies, and education, with a solid academic framework that includes research opportunities.
However, class sizes, especially for introductory courses, could make personalized attention a challenge.
Professors:

Professors are generally supportive, particularly in the STEM fields. Their involvement in local research offers hands-on learning experiences.
Inconsistencies in teaching methods or grading may be an issue in some departments.
Campus Life & Environment:

The peaceful, coastal campus and tight-knit community make it a great environment for students who prefer smaller, more personal connections. The active student clubs and sports teams contribute positively to campus life.
On the downside, some areas feel dated, and transportation options can be an inconvenience.

As a student at University of Puerto Rico, i’ve found myself immersed in an environment that truly embraces openness and professionalism. The moment i stepped onto this institution I was struck by the sense of freedom and inclusivity that permeates every aspect of university life.

One of the most commendable aspects of University of Puerto Rico is its commitment to fostering an open and free atmosphere. Unlike many institutions, this one encourages students to explore their interest without constraint, allowing a truly enriching educational experience.

Furthermore, I’ve been impressed by then caliber of educators and staff. The professionals who guide us through our academic journey are not only knowledgeable in their respective fields but also deeply passionate about nurturing the next generation of leaders.

Overall, my experience at University of Puerto Rico, has been nothing but short of exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend University of Puerto Rico to anyone seeking a university experience that values professionalism.

Those who study at UPR end up having a love/ hate relationship with the institution. It is the only public university in Puerto Rico and therefore has very close ties to the government and all the pros and cons that come with that . However , it is a historic university known for creating the most brilliant minds in the island . The community in UPR( particularly the campus located in Aguadilla)is tight knit and the professors are able to have a great mentor relationship with their students given the small size of the classes . They have a food pantry for low income students , offer great scholarships, and have free tutoring available .The only thing I will criticize is the outdated system of enrolling for classes . Many students (including myself) have gotten full blown panic attacks because of how difficult and tedious it is to enroll for classes.

Aside from that , it is a great university known to be “for the people” . Anybody who attends feels like they are a part of the very important history of Puerto Rico .
