Located right next to Parliament, and 5 minutes away from the centre, ISEG is the oldest business school in Portugal and has educated students like Cavaco Silva (former president of Portugal) and Mário Centeno (current president of the Eurogroup). Known for receiving a great amount of foreign students every year, promoting a friendly and very cooperative environment on campus between the students, and having a great student life that can’t be compared to all the other universities mentioned here, ISEG also has many long-standing traditions and a wealth of culture that is evident in their students. ISEG currently has 7 Bachelor programmes (2 of them in English) and 20 Masters of Science, as well as 9 PhDs.
Has a cool environment, good teachers and good methods , great facilities and is a remarkable university in the country. And this university have a lot of good contacts and opportunities with companies.
View moreThe university offers a variety of degree programs in English
The admission process is very simple and straightforward with limited documentation requirement.
Communication of course registration and timetable is efficient.
View moreLocation of the uiversity as it is in Lisbon. The professor’s quality is another good point, most of them have a great curriculum outside of the university. The most important is that this university is open to international students creating a good environment to study and share experiences.
View moreI think the quality of education is really good. The contents of subjects are alignes with the actual world and quick evolution of tecnhology in nowdays. Professors are highly qualified. And the fact that they offer courses in English make it more international.
View moreISEG is a well known university be it national or international, which has more than 100 years of history.
So my expectations were very high, regarding my MBA frequency.
I must be honest, that in the overall, I think that ISEG is very well prepared and organized, and their academic offer is quite interesting and complete.
In specific terms of the MBA, I think it can be improved in terms of schedule organization; in some soft skills disciplines, the content didn’t match my expectations at all; and the duration of the hard skill disciplines should be enlarged.
What I like most in this experience is the possibility to know other students, from different nationalities and others backgrounds. The richness that relies on that, is amazing.
Although, there are things that have to change or get better, I would recommend to my friends, or family to do a MBA in ISEG.
ISEGs international executive MBA is a good and safe option if you compare the benefits vs costs among the other known options in the market (Catolica and Nova). The education approach is classic, nothing that would blow your mind but you will end the programme having a more macro and wider perspective, knowing a couple of good professors and cool people in your class. The pros: Location, facilities, in average it is not so time demanding and cool students from different backgrounds that will enrich your experience. Extras: You will find a couple of good professors. And the cons: Too many theoretical classes (the professor is the protagonist of the class, not the students), a couple of professors with a limited level of English and they value hard skills way more than soft skills.
View moreISEG is one of the business schools with the greatest tradition and importance in Portugal. It has a staff of highly qualified teachers with important positions in the country. Particularly speaking, the MBA is characterized by a very complete and comprehensive curriculum of subjects and a good balance between soft and hard skills. Additionally, the price is very competitive taking into account the accreditations is that it currently has and that other MBAs cost twice as much with a very similar program. In general terms, I recommend this business school for people who are interested in developing management skills and obtain solid financial knowledge.
View moreVery good and qualified professors, more than 80% with PhD from top universities. Great location, Lisbon is an amazing city to live in. The tuition fee is under the average of other European MBAs. Good value for money.
View moreMy opinion is that the school has much to offer consider the quality of the professors. Most of the hard skills are taught by professors with phd in Administration or by people very outstanding in their own fields.
View moreISEG has a really good university life due to its proximity to the city center. It is the business school closest to the historic district of Lisbon.__Also the campus has really good facilities to study, rest and have a good time between classes.
