I studied English Philology at Adam Mickiewicz University and was mostly happy with the academic side of things. The professors are highly knowledgeable, especially in literature and linguistics, and they take their subjects seriously. Most lectures are well-organized, and some seminars offer a chance to dig deeper into your interests.
The campus in Poznań is beautiful and close to the city center, which makes it easy to feel part of student life. However, while there are international students, the university could do more to support them—some administrative processes are still only in Polish, which can be frustrating.
Overall, I’d recommend it if you’re focused on strong academic content and don’t mind figuring things out on your own outside class. It’s a good place to grow academically, especially if you’re self-motivated.
