Good university but overrated

I completed my part-time studies in branding at the University of Wrocław and overall I had a positive experience, although not without reservations. I really liked many of my classes, but a large portion of them covered very similar topics, which made the programme feel somewhat repetitive. There were a few genuinely inspiring courses with strong, knowledgeable professors, but also several that felt like fillers rather than meaningful academic content – and unfortunately, the truly valuable ones were in the minority.

Because I studied part-time, I didn’t get to experience campus life or the community aspect very deeply. What I appreciated, however, was the attitude of the lecturers: they were understanding and flexible, allowing me to arrive late or leave early when necessary, as I travelled two hours by train to Wrocław for each session. Their approachability and expertise were definitely the strongest elements of the programme.
I still managed to meet some great people, many of whom I’m still in touch with. I also appreciate that several lecturers stayed in contact with me after graduation, which shows their genuine interest in students’ development.

Thank you for sharing your honest and balanced opinion. We’re glad to hear that many lecturers and classes had a positive impact, especially given the challenges of part-time commuting.

We understand your remarks about repetition — some courses are mandatory due to programme and accreditation requirements, which can limit flexibility in the curriculum and may feel more pronounced in part-time study. Still, feedback like yours helps us grow and improve the areas we can.

It’s also great to hear that you built lasting connections with both peers and lecturers. Thank you again for sharing your perspective.
