I expected so much more from the Masters program. For someone who obtained a BA in English philology it has nothing to offer. Most of the courses are clearly meant for people who studied different subjects and switched to English Philology, I just feel like I’m wasting my time. The MA seminars are the best part, but only if you manage to get into one about something interesting to you, because they don’t check how many people want to write their thesis about given subjects, which creates situations in which there’s a single translation seminar (12 slots) and 40 people who want to write about translations. I doubt that I will manage to force myself to finish my studies 🙁
Might be of interest if your BA is unrelated to English Philology and most of the staff are great.
