As a student at AHG University of Science and Technology in Poland, I would like to share my opinion on the teaching and assessment methods used at the university. First of all, I really appreciate the practical approach to classes. Lecturers do not limit themselves to theory – we often work on real examples, which makes it much easier to understand the material. Laboratory and project classes are an integral part of the program, which allows you to develop technical skills and work in a team. Assessment methods are diverse – from classic written exams, through online tests, to project assessments and group presentations. I like that the emphasis is not only on theoretical knowledge, but also on creativity and independent thinking. In many subjects, the final grade is the result of several elements – activity in classes, homework, term papers and an exam. Thanks to this, I feel that the entire semester matters, not just one test. I have the impression that the university tries to adapt teaching methods to the needs of students, which in my case works very well. I recommend AHG to everyone who is looking for a modern and practical approach to technical education.
