As an ‘iskolar ng bayan’, I deeply appreciate that Cebu Normal University provided me with quality education tuition-free cost and has veteran professors and instructors who really put effort into their classes. I owe a lot of who I am now to them. But beyond that, the university is weighed down by administrative inefficiency, lack of transparency, and outdated systems that burden the student body and constituents more than they help. The abrupt announcements and schedule changes without consultation, the lacking classroom and facilities, not to mention it is very hot and humid inside the campus and us students don’t have nowhere to go and standby. It often feels like our concerns are brushed aside, and that leaves many of us questioning whether the institution is truly prioritizing its students. I do hope that this would still be change but this is just based on my personal experience.
