

My journey at Bulacan State University (BulSU) as an IT student, starting in 2014, was a rollercoaster of late-night coding sessions, collaborative projects, and memorable friendships. The campus, nestled in the heart of Malolos, felt like a second home.
View moreUpon entering the first semester of my second year, we were informed that all of our courses would be horizontally integrated, meaning that all courses are connected. Projects, research, and academic outputs will see connections and collaborations.
From a practical perspective, it makes sense. Business Administration students need to learn of the simple fact in business – that it is a complex system formed by and operated through many different aspects. It is a system in itself. And us being taught of the connectedness of our courses prepares us for leadership positions in future firms that we will be working for.
As a student, I am pleased that my institution is offering to innovate and adopt changes in the courses, pedagogy, and curriculum to further prepare the students for the ever-changing labor market. It’s either you adapt, or you get left behind, and I am glad my university chose to adapt.
