My first semester at UNIBE was a
success.
After taking a couple of gap years following high school, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started college, especially since I had moved from NYC to the Caribbean for a new experience. So far, l’ve enjoyed the school.
While the campus isn’t very large, I like that my major has its own dedicated floor, as do other majors. This makes the environment feel more personalized.
Back in NYC, when I attended college right after COVID, I felt more like a number than a student. At UNIBE, l’ve noticed a significant difference: my issues are resolved without much back and forth, which I appreciate greatly.
One area I feel could be improved is the food options on campus. There aren’t many healthy choices for snacks or meals, and as someone who prioritizes nutrition, this has been a challenge.
This past semester, I encountered only one issue with a class, which was due to a professor missing the majority of both the first and second terms. However, beyond that, my experienc’s been overwhelmingly pos…ve. I’m looking forward to my second semester at UNIBE and continuing to grow in this supportive environment.
