In as much as I appreciate the great tutoring and shepherding of the National University of Science and Technology, I believe improvements are needed to equip alumni with requisite basic technological skills for the modern day world.

Let us get into examples:

1. Some graduates from the school cannot write proper job application emails, CVs or Cover Letters! There are no career development trainings happening on campus to equip students with such basic survival skills.

2. Student of the University struggle to manipulate Google Workspace applications for basic administrative, data capturing or analysis roles. In as much as we are equipped so well with Accounting information, with all the ability to perform double entry transaction recording, analyzing accounts and reporting, we need to know how to utilize modern technologies to perform these tasks. They are needed in the modern professional world!

I stand to be corrected about my opinion, but this is from personal experience and I wish others could see how we really need to have our institutions take our futures more seriously-equipping us with not only degrees, but basic survival skills, too in an AI era.
