    Choice of majors

NHH is a top business school in Norway and it is also a public university. Considering that, the cost of education is free here and hence, I did not have to pay for my Masters. Additionally, this university offers a wide range of majors to choose from. In the first year, you are allowed to pick several electives and choose a path for you based on your liking. You are allowed to switch at the end of the year. Not every university is this supportive of one’s changing preferences. Additionally, they provide market-preferred skills. For instance, recently, they started Data Analytics as a major. I would rate my two years in NHH as 8/10 because of the ease and support they provided throughout the degree, specially in my thesis period. I didn’t opt for any exchange program however, there are several you can choose from.

    Educational Costs

I was part of 2019 Masters batch. My major was Finance and it was a two-year program. One of the major reasons why I chose it for being free of cost. Public universities in Norway offer free education even for international/Non-EU students and this was a deciding factor for me. Additionally, the application process was very straight-forward and easy.
As far as the university is concerned, I would like to mention the good things first. The university had an accessible location with clean and budget-friendly dorms. Additionally, the faculty was supportive. Most of them made sure that they organize guest speakers so that we stay connected to the corporate world. Bergen, as a whole, is a small metropolitan city so people are used to calmer surroundings would find it very serene.
On the downside, Norway is an expensive country to live in, even though education is free. There is a language barrier in the corporate world because it is very difficult to find a company which uses English as their primary language. Overall, the experience was good for me and after a while, I managed to find a job as well.

    University Standard

I have had a reasonable time in the university during my stay in 2017. I have been there for one year and went on a dual degree program for the second year. During my one year program, I found several positive points there. For instance:
1._The university has a competitive, international environment
2._Enough events for international students to be part of
3._Career related events and skill programs
    4._Responsive faculty

However, I still found some things that could be improved on:
1._Language barrier in terms of general communication
2._Less career options for non-native speakers
3._Small city with limited student life

    Choice of major

I have been part of NHH for two years from 2017-2019. During this period, I was part of student organizations as well and found the university and its people to be very welcoming. There is a wide range of majors to choose from specially in Masters program. For me, this was the highlight. Additionally, the environment does not make an international student feel like an outsider. The only thing one has to be wary of while coming to Bergen is the weather. Apart from this, I would recommend everyone to consider NHH.

    A world of opportunities

NHH is one of the underrated universities that most people do not know about. For starters, tuition used to be free there. One of the reasons it was my top choice, but then it was also the best Business School in Norway. The faculty was top notch and the learning curriculum was pretty unique with ample free time, and freedom, yet required great application too.
Another reason was that it offered students amazing opportunities to study abroad (Double Degree program and CEMS (International Management) program. The university gave students the freedom to pick their own courses, fields, and specializations. Another attractive part of my experience was the 100 subcommittees that were present at the university which gave you a chance at not just professional growth, but experience interacting with other internationals and Norwegians, which was a great deal for someone travelling abroad for just the second time. You could learn photography or graphic designing and be a part of a family of a sort.
I am sure there would be better universities, but NHH is still amongst the best and gives you the exposure to stand out and still mix up with everyone.

    Masters in Finance

The Program was extremely conducive with a diverse batch. Most of the courses and instructors/professors encouraged multinational groups in projects to ensure a healthy cultural experience. The school also offers a wide range of exchange programs. These opportunities are free however you would have to go through assessment center. Most of the students pass do. NHH is really good in that perspective. Quality of education is definitely the highlight of the school since you would be taught by well-informed teachers. They would organize company meet-and-greets to ensure that you have a market exposure and career opportunities. The only hindrance is with the language; while most of the people understand English, they are still prone to talking in Norwegian even in a classroom setup.
