All I can say is, it was a long beautiful, also rough journey I had mixed with challenges and amazing moments.
Every Udus student can relate the harsh weather we experienced at that institution which makes it less suitable for some students. Also, the academic stress is a no joke at all, I can still recall there was a time when I couldn’t even cook at hostel just to save time for study, and I wasn’t alone, many of my colleagues can relate.
As for the amazing moments I had, were the colleagues I hang out with, the hostel mates I interact with, a whole new family there, from different backgrounds but sharing thesame dream. It was really great having those people in my lifetime… All thanks to UDUS, I met different people from different cultures and religions, and I was able to learn alot from them.
What stood out at studying Udus was the academic integrity and professionalism the institution have. It’s one of the reasons why Many students aspire to study there despite the hardship and the struggle behind it. By just interacting with an UDUS student, one can tell that he’s both academically and socially active. I wouldn’t regret going back for masters there coz I know that I’ll definitely acquire more knowledge there.
It is a top choice for many Nigerian students due to its legacy, quality of education, and affordable tuition. With continued investment in infrastructure and student welfare, it can maintain and even exceed its current standing.
View moreMy overall experience at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto was decent, though not without its challenges. Academically, the university is quite strong. The lecturers are knowledgeable, approachable, and generally committed to ensuring that students understand their courses. The academic environment is designed to push students towards serious study, and it really helped me to stay focused and disciplined.
On the other hand, there are areas where the school could do much better. The facilities are not always up to standard, and sometimes access to resources such as libraries, labs, or even lecture materials can be frustrating. Administrative processes can also be slow, which adds to the stress of student life.
When it comes to social life, the school is honestly on the poor side. There are very few organized events or recreational activities on campus, so most of the time, student life revolves around reading and preparing for exams. If you’re the kind of person who enjoys socialising, you might find it limiting. Personally, I often had to leave campus and go into Sokoto city to socialise, relax, or take part in activities outside academics.
Overall, I would say Usmanu Danfodiyo University is a good choice for someone who wants affordable education and a place that prioritises academics above everything else. However, if you are looking for a vibrant campus life with plenty of social events, then you may find it lacking. It’s a place where you definitely get the education, but you have to create your own balance outside the school environment.
View moreMy experience at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto was positive overall. The lecturers are knowledgeable and committed, and the programme provided a solid academic foundation. I especially appreciated the discipline and diverse campus life, which helped me grow both academically and socially.
However, the university still faces challenges such as limited modern facilities and slow administrative processes. Despite these issues, I gained valuable skills and resilience during my time there. I would recommend UDUS to students seeking quality education in a structured and supportive environment.
With delight I want to reminisce about the old time experience I have during my university time. Well I really enjoy my time during my school time because in my department we have lecturer that are burn with fire they lectures in a very remarkable way. I like many things about the school especially when comes to tuition fees we pay lesser compared to other institution. School in the far north is very challenging especially in the period when it come to Lectures, do to long distance that cover between one lecture hall and another, about 700 meters to another hall where lecture will hold. The most annoying part of it was the examination time, sometime they may schedule us to a particular hall and on reaching the location another department will inside the hall, we have to report so they can refer us to another hall. The annoying part of it is having incompetent lecturer when it come to some lectures, it make it so boring because there is no mastery of subject method.
