My experience at the University of Uyo was a mixed bag. On the plus side, I loved the sense of community and camaraderie among students. The lecturers in my department were knowledgeable and supportive, and I appreciated the opportunities for research and personal growth. However, I struggled with several issues. The hostel facilities were not ideal, and one major concern was the no-cooking policy in the hostels, which was quite challenging for many students. Additionally, there were times when administrative processes felt slow and bureaucratic. Another major concern was the high billing system, which felt excessive at times. Furthermore, I felt that the curriculum focused too much on theoretical aspects, leaving us somewhat unprepared for real-life practical issues. The infrastructure and facilities in some areas of the campus were also inadequate and outdated. Overall, I’d say UNIUYO has its strengths and weaknesses, but it was a valuable experience that helped me grow as a person and a professional.
