One thing I admire about the University of Lagos is the continuous improvement of its academic system. Examinations are no longer just recycled past questions, which encourages students to truly learn rather than cram. This system motivates us to study consistently, complete assignments on time, and avoid procrastination.
However, there are areas that still need attention. Results are often delayed and not uploaded on the student portal promptly, forcing us to rely on course advisors. Online platforms used for tests frequently lag, leading to unfair failures. A better approach would be scheduling students in smaller groups and involving tech-savvy students to help improve the systems.
Another challenge is overcrowded lecture halls, especially during general engineering courses, where students are left standing for hours. Additionally, lecturers should upload course materials on a central system rather than distributing them informally, which would make learning more structured and accessible.
Overall, I appreciate my school and its environment, but with timely results, improved online systems, and better facilities, the University of Lagos can offer an even stronger academic experience.
