The fact that the school is in the city centre and flanked by the lagoon makes Unilag unique. It is accessible to any part of Lagos by road, waterways and rail. Admission to the University of Lagos is very competitive hence it is popularly known as the University of the first choice. To acquire a B.Pharm degree in my alma mater is stressful and takes rigorous effort, even for intelligent students. It will take all of you, from long hours of lectures and lab sessions up to 14 hours times, myriads of reports and assignment submission deadlines to meet, to multiple test assessments and more. It will stretch one’s threshold. Laboratories are well equipped to Nigerian standards. We had our light microscope per student. The beauty is that passing through this will build one to excel not just within the health sector but outside too. It is unsurprisingly that a lot of Unilag pharmacy school alumni are tech gurus and business magnates within a few years of graduation.
Moreso, the school is located in the commercial capital of Nigeria gives students the leverage of early exposure to the cooperative sector in their respective fields- a rare opportunity other Nigerian schools so desired. This explains the adaptability and rapid success achieved by the University of Lagos graduates.

However, the delivery of the course needs to be addressed to allow students to go through much less stress. Recently, I have an unconfirmed report that the programme has evolved a bit.
