I loved my programme as it gave me insights into another aspect of education. I studied Special Education/Communication Language Arts in the Faculty of Education. My lecturers were helpful and I specialized in gifted and talented education which allowed students to be independent in their own thoughts and opinions. My school is well, in Nigeria and so we had the external problem of bad funding to tertiary institutions considering that it is a federally funded university but asides from this, the thought process, time and delivery are given to course presentations and projects by most of the lecturers were quite encouraging and interesting.
The student life in school was quite balanced, if you wanted to be all social, then there were all academics too but if you are a person who could prioritize and organise, you would find that you could enjoy most sides of both coin. I lived on campus most of my four years in school and there was a good student government representation and autonomy, although that changed just before I left there is still some level of student representation.
I definitely miss those lecture days and university school life.
