My experience at the University of Port Harcourt was both challenging and rewarding. The academic programme gave me a strong foundation in my field, especially with the practical opportunities and exposure to professional bodies such as ISOC, NCS and CPN. I appreciated the commitment of many lecturers who went beyond teaching to mentor students, although some courses could benefit from updated resources and teaching methods.
Campus life was vibrant, offering many opportunities for networking, leadership, and personal growth. However, like many public universities in Nigeria, issues such as inconsistent academic calendars and limited infrastructure sometimes slowed progress.
Overall, Uniport prepared me well for the future and helped me build resilience, adaptability, and a broader perspective. I would recommend it to students who are ready to embrace both the academic and real-world challenges that shape you into a well-rounded professional.

What I want an improvement on, is how we get to see our results, I hope they make it easier to access results. Instead of going to offices to check, we can easily check it on the Aris Uniport website. I love that the students get to have fun and school at the same time
Tbis school is located in Rivers State, Nigeria. I like thw fact that gaining admission is strictly on merit and the learning environment is safe.
I disliked the fact that we were taught more theory than practical..overall, the school is a good school.
For Gold to be produced it needs to pass through harsh process such as being heated for a long period of time, that is the illustration I can use as my experience at the university of port Harcourt. It was a tough one, but it built character, it made me become resilient, hardworking and it prepared me for life in general. Things I liked about school are the landscape, the ambience, the structures, the city and the vegetation. Things I disliked about the school was the fact that there was corruption at many levels of the school, there were this set of lecturers always threatening to fail you, they aren’t after impacting knowledge but rather they see themselves as gods, they use their position to create fear and commit all sorts of atrocities, and you find this kind of humans in almost all the departments of the school. I also didn’t like the fact that they were no good infrastructures, learning materials, facilities, especially facilities for practical trainings.

I don’t like the way their student dress.
