The University of Lagos is one of Nigeria’s top institutions, known for its academic excellence and vibrant student community. Studying Industrial Mathematics with Computer Science has given me a strong foundation in problem solving and analytical thinking.

The lecturers are dedicated, and there are many opportunities to learn beyond the classroom through workshops and student-led initiatives. However, large class sizes and occasional infrastructure challenges can make learning demanding at times.

Despite these challenges, UNILAG provides an environment that encourages growth, innovation, and resilience. It’s a place that truly prepares students for both academic and real-world success.

Great University to study. The slide view of the university is great. The ocean view is cool and the building are wonderful. There is game center and information center. I am glad I study at the university

The school stress is too much. Hostel is a mess and I still don’t understand what the security’s job is as cult guys raid in the school. If I fit dropout like this, I go do am. But we dey trabaye nonetheless.

Unilag is a lovely school, with different ethnic cultures represented. The school has a social lifestyle and a lot of activities.
Unilag exposes you to variety of things going on in the world today especially in tech.

Applied mathematics isn’t very prospective in terms of career but it’s still a good program. The ongoing strike is causing long delays in education but still the environment is serene. Facilities are well okay

The program I’m currently studying is a very good and prospective course. The classes have been going on well before the strike started sadly. So I can’t say that I’ve enjoyed the program well.

The classes are sometimes over packed with not enough facilities to cater for the students that are admitted into the university. The lecturers and professors are good, but they don’t get paid which results in a lot of academics and I have to say for a fact that a stable school system will help to drive better knowledge to students. I’m studying applied mathematics which has a very wide career prospect and makes it more exciting learn professionally

Basically, education in Nigerian universities involves a lot of tertiary learning but is generated from your high school experience and knowledge. As a mathematics and statistics graduate of the University of Lagos, and a present student of the school of postgraduate studies, studying had taught me always to meditate and unwind. Recently, my enrollment in the study for master’s in information technology in the same school has ended up making me realize that the University of Lagos has been founded on a genuine foundation, and this is my take.

Academic performance is based on Merits. if you don’t read for your examinations you won’t pass. As a student of the University of Lagos’ lecturers always make sure they cover up syllabus so students can’t adequately pass Examination
