The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is one of Nigeria’s premier institutions, known for its academic excellence, diverse student body, and vibrant campus life. Founded in 1962, the university offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various fields, including science, arts, engineering, and professional studies like law and medicine. Its Faculty of Dental Sciences, where i am currently studying, is part of a larger medical community within the College of Medicine in Idi-Araba, providing top-notch education in health sciences.
UNILAG boasts a reputation for its rigorous academic standards, state-of-the-art research facilities, and an environment that fosters critical thinking and innovation. The university has also embraced a Practical learning system

I like the level of exposure, my program is students oriented, mensing the students do more of the learning rather than lecturers doing more of the teaching. The facilities are not enough for the numbers of admitted students and some lecture classes are crowded due to insufficient lecturer for that particular course .
The school is one of the most significant university in the country and we’ll recognized internationally, having produced scholars that works in too organization such as google, Microsoft, Apple and many more .
The school gives room for innovation and the school environment is student friendly.

I’ve had a really good time thus far.It’s a really good school, top 10 in the country if I’m not mistaken. A remarkable institution of learning. I’ve had a really smooth ride so far and I’m enjoying every bit of the journey. The facilities and equipments required for my program are top notch. Lagos is the most populous state in Nigeria and as such, many people from within the area and outside attend this institution so believe me when I say Student life is Absolutely buzzing. I love it here and would definitely recommend to my friends.

Over my time at UNILAG, I really enjoyed the lectures and most especially the lecturers who admitted the study. The lecture is really responsive to the needs of students, on and off lecture periods and their teaching is absolutely top-notch.

The teaching methods are archaic,I think more can be done and achieved if the lecturers can focus more on the necessary stuffs that will help us become better doctors in the outside world.
Furthermore, the school authorities should also work with the government or organisations in providing better and up to date equipments for the use of the students and with the maintainance of the existing ones.
