Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) is a rising star! It offers solid programs, especially in tech and science. The lecturers are pretty good, and the campus vibe is lively. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a practical, hands-on education in Lagos.
View moreLasustech, sometimes called Lasus-stress by many students is an amazing place to be in. In all honesty, we don’t have the best structure neither would I call it a perfect institution. But, as much as every institution has their peculiarities, Lasustech has exposed me to the value hardwork brings. This school doesn’t just imbibe in you the academic skills needed, it also instills culture, discipline and morals amongst others. Do all these exclude the stress? Obviously not! Sometimes, classes are strenuous, resuming to school by 8 and leaving around 4 some days can be really hectic, but for what it’s worth, the gain surpasses the pain. The lecturers as much as I know are friendly and approachable to a good extent. Finally, the campus life is fun, but then don’t have too high expectations, so you don’t get shocked.

However, I believe more practical sessions and career guidance could have made it even better. I’d rate the program around 7/10 for overall quality and relevance.”
View moreLagos State University of Science and Technology provided me with a solid foundation in computer science. The curriculum was hands-on and relevant, especially in areas like threat analysis and digital forensics. Recently, new professors have joined the faculty, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to the department. The faculty staff are approachable and supportive, which creates a welcoming learning environment. The state government has also promised new standard hostels for students, which shows a commitment to improving campus life. Remote learning tools were effective, though student support services could still be enhanced. Overall, I’d recommend the university to anyone pursuing a tech-driven career
View moreLet me start off by saying my school is one of the best in the state. I started off there was it was just a polytechnic.
What I love most about the school is the practical aspect of their teaching, I love that we have qualified lecturers who are ready to put you through anything, anywhere, any day.
One thing I despise about the school is the fact that students can’t dress to their satisfaction. The school treat us like high schoolers when it comes to dressing. It’s not all bad though, but I feel the school needs to do better in that aspect
