Studying at Lagos State University (LASU) has been a mix of challenges and growth. What I truly love about LASU is its stable academic calendar unlike many universities in Nigeria, I didn’t have to worry about endless strikes delaying my studies. The lecturers are knowledgeable and approachable, and I’ve learned so much both in and out of the classroom. Campus life is lively, with plenty of opportunities to meet people, join student groups, and explore new interests, the only issue with Lasu was the stress in my department. Theatre Arts and Film Department is really demanding and tasking, no personal time, just rehearsals and shoots all the time but again it was stressful yet amazing.

However, I wish the facilities were better some lecture halls and labs could use a major upgrade, and the internet services can be frustrating at times. Administrative processes like course registration or transcripts can also be slow.

Overall, LASU teaches you resilience, hard work, and how to make the most of your environment. I would recommend LASU to anyone who is determined, open-minded, and ready to create their own opportunities while enjoying a vibrant campus community.
