My experience at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) was both transformative and rewarding. Graduating with a First Class Honours in 2020 was the culmination of years of dedication, resilience, and a deep commitment to academic excellence. Beyond academics, my time at OAU was marked by active participation in leadership and student affairs, where I served as a voice and advocate for my fellow students.
I held several leadership positions, through which I contributed to initiatives aimed at promoting student welfare, academic excellence, and campus unity. These roles sharpened my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, as I worked closely with faculty, student bodies, and peers to address concerns, foster inclusiveness, and create opportunities for others to thrive.
Additionally, I was privileged to represent my department in various interdepartmental debate competitions, which further strengthened my public speaking, critical thinking, and persuasive communication abilities. These experiences allowed me to engage meaningfully with diverse perspectives while developing confidence in expressing complex ideas under pressure.
Overall, my time at OAU shaped my character, deepened my passion for service and intellectual growth, and prepared me for future challenges with a sense of purpose and responsibility.
View moreObafemi Awolowo University(OAU) is of the premier Universities in Nigeria, tagged the Africa Most beautiful Campus. There are tons of hypes surrounding the school, but that’s for people outside her corridors, and Twitter folks. The system of the university is Complex enough to build you beyond what can see, the system was designed to stretch her students and reveal their greatness, and the journey to this hasn’t been easy. The Educational System and Failures in Nigeria has affected the quality of Education but the students of OAU have proven that “circumstances makes men as much as men make Circumstances”(i learnt this from a Karl Marx material). In Nigeria at the moment OAU is dominating the Tech Industry, Law Industry and others, and on this note, even with not so much love for the pain I go through, I have discovered that calling OAU, the king of Universities is a Fact not Hype.

The university is rich in culture and diversity, they teach well, and the school is well organized.
Nothing I dislike about the school.
