Studying Economics or Accounting which is better? And work wise?

Accounting is a professional course. They are both alike, and you must like maths. Work wise, you can work in any field or sector with both, but accounting is more narrow in the work categories to choose from.

Have been struggling with choosing one from both courses to study, I want to study Accounting but people keep saying I should go for Economics cause I would have more job opportunities with Economics degree and that they barely employ Accountants this days so right now I’m stuck on making a decision. What’s your thoughts on this?

And also have been offered Amnesty scholarship at Igbinedion university . My mum didn’t like the scholarship stuff cause her younger brother was given Amnesty scholarship sometime ago but at another university, he schooled there for like 3years before we later found out the scholarship was fake and he dropped out. So here’s my question did you have any friends on scholarship during your time? And is it legit, how does their scholarship works?
