It’s as lackadaisical as you can imagine, lecturers are likely to read directly from a textbook without actually teaching anything, that’s if you’re lucky to even see them in class. Only for them to just set exactly what was in the last years exam, regardless of whether they taught you at all.
Coming here means you need to be ready to work out learning everything on your own, in fact you may as well perfect your cramming before coming here because that’s most likely what will get your CGPA high.
At least, if not anything at least once you graduate from here you’ll definitely be more mature and wiser than before, because the school may not teach you books, but you’ll definitely learn about life once you’re done.
Overall, I would not recommend anyone hoping to actually learn to come here, but if you’re looking for a challenge.. then you’ll definitely find what you’re looking for here.
Also, don’t walk around much at night, security isn’t really 100% guaranteed. So don’t party late and be home before it gets completely dark.
Also don’t challenge the lecturers, I can tell you that they’ll be petty till the end, it’ll surely affect you drastically.
The sun here is hot as heck, so if you have a sunscreen, abuse it.
The University of Nigeria Nsukka Enugu state, one of the best universities in Nigeria, housing the biggest library in West Africa. It’s a school with very good and high academic standards but it also has it’s shortcomings like the constant strike leading to imbalance in the universities calendar, frequent lack of electricity inside the school environments, keeping the students from engaging in practicals most especially the engineering students.
Apart from all these stated above it’s a very good school in both academics, extracurriculars and social activities and many more.
My experience in UNN was a bit rocky, I lost my phone which made me loose access to information from the school, academics was fine, the lecturers some are nice , some are very strict, some corrupt and others cruel. Classes were interesting not all but few of the classes were interesting. Campus life is the most interesting part of my experience, cause I engaged in extracurriculars, social gatherings and other faculty related activities.
So far so good I’m enjoying my time in the University of Nigeria Nsukka. I’m sure the newest set of people that will gain admission here will enjoy it too
The University of Nigeria Nsukka is a pioneer university in Nigeria located at Nsukka in Enugu State. Lecturers in this university have experiences for donkeys of years in lecturing and are willing to impart the same to students. In my own opinion, it’s a university for everyone, both within and outside Nigeria.
