Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) is a reputable public institution in Nigeria, known for its strong focus on science, engineering, and technology driven education. The university provides a well rounded academic experience that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing students for real-world problem-solving and innovation.
But one of ESUT’s major strengths lies in its commitment to fostering technical and entrepreneurial skills. The school highly encourages students to be creative, self-reliant, and industry-ready. a philosophy reflected in its motto, “Technology for Service.” The curriculum in most faculties, especially in Education which is my faculty, and applied sciences, is designed to promote research, project-based learning, and teamwork and to equip to students with vast skill set.

The professors were knowledgeable and approachable, and the classes were engaging and practical. I especially liked the hands-on teaching experience, which prepared me well for real-world classrooms.
One area that could improve is the availability of modern lab equipment, which sometimes limited experiments. Overall, I would recommend this university to students who want a supportive learning environment and strong foundational knowledge in science and technology
It is usually difficult to find a Nigerian student who is not engaged with a side job while in school, it is almost the norm. The Enugu State University of Science and Technology just made it easier for me to navigate full time student life and working at the same time. The professors in my department (Education) were the most supporting I have ever come across; almost as if they completely understand what each student is going through.
It was a worthwhile experience as I graduated with First Class Honours amid the tight schedule.
Currently an educator, I could not have been here without ESUT.
The university is good it’s just that it requires money I hate it because it has made students do things for money at all cost plus no much electricity supply ,I love it because it’s a good school and I recommend it
