Well, as the description of the university been a first petroleum university in Africa and 6th in the world, since it inception it has provided and graduated professionals, both in their various discipline and professional courses.
But I dislike alot about the university due to poor lecturing capacity, lack of both lecturing and practical equipment, poor results emanating from the University bodies to the students, inadequate infrastructure, limited lecture halls for students, lack of discipline within the student and the executive bodies.
Based on this, I’ll kindly request if these concerns can be duly addressed for the betterment of the institution and favour all the students and executive bodies.
View moreThe networking opportunities provided made it amazing and all through my undergraduate days I had privileges to serve in different organization’s capacity like president Society of petroleum engineers, Nigerian Society of Engineers etc which in turn connected me to big players in the industry.
View moreOverall my undergraduate program was a success. Studying Mechanical Engineering as a lady wasn’t easy at the beginning but I blended and it was worth it. Initially I didn’t like the environment and it facilities but over the years we facilitate where put in place alot of important structures where erected.
View moreThe university doesn’t have standard learning structures. For a large gathering during lecture, if you don’t make your way to the front row, then you wouldn’t get anything from the lecture. They are very good in Engineering.
View moreThis university is First of its kind in Africa and Sixth in the whole world. It’s a university well know for it’s doggedness and bringing out diligent, academically sound and Industry ready students. The curriculum is up to date and facilities available at it’s maximum operations. They have Eco Marathon team and also Petro Bowl team too.
View moreIt is a good place to study, the ratio of number of students to lecturers is healthy therefore there quality teaching services is received.
I like the serenity, it is always calm and neat, well organized structural arrangements that makez it easy to locate important offices even for a visitor. But what i am not happy with is the fact that the structures, especially lecture halls is not much to comfortably contain a good number of students at a time, so more lecture rooms are needed.
In general, i will recommend tjis school for anyone interested in quality education in science, engineering and technological fields.
Good curriculum. before the end of your program, you will feel like an Engineer or a scientist but they fail students a lot unnecessarily, lecturers are too pompous and they kind of like hate our guts. I wouldn’t recommend it
View moreStudents have more access to practicals rather than just theory-based. So it’s balanced. The lecturers too are trained an assist students whenever their assistance is needed.
The laboratories are fully equipped as well. All materials needed for practicals are in the laboratory.
