Studying at the university of calabar was a great experience. It’s not just about the academic experience but also relationships I was able to the build within the walls of the school. The teaching staffs knew teaching wasn’t just about pen and paper but also living the experience.
View moreI’d recommend this university for its supportive faculty, engaging curriculum, and career opportunities. While there’s room for improvement in administrative processes and extracurricular activities, the overall experience is valuable. With some enhancements, it could be an even better institution, it’s a great choice for students seeking a well-rounded education
View moreI am Martins Eno, a graduate of from the department of public administration in the university of Calabar. My experience with the university was quite a spectacular one, one I can’t forget in a hurry, one that taught me a lot of things and exposed my horizon to the real world.
While some would say their experience with the school was a challenging one, I would say those challenges were avenue to change my perception and hit me towards the right direction of life.
First, I graduated from a department where bribery for mark was at it lowest minimum, maybe because I never approach any lecturer to buy marks or scores and no lecturer approached me or sent a class rep to ask us for money to upgrade our scores. This act made me sit up and study to come out from the university with good grade, because I know, no lecturer would want to get money from me to pass me.
Another wonderful experience I had during my stay in the school was when I became the president of the department of public administration. Many thanks to my then HOD, Dr. Ijim Unoh Agbor. He took me in and taught me the rudiment of administration. As a one time SUG secretary from the university of Portharcourt, he also gave me some leadership tips to enable me transition my tenure smoothly. With some of his advice, I want about to handle that position smoothly untill I handed it to someone else.
All my lecturers were awesome. This poise me to go back to the same department for my Master’s programme after graduating. University is a citadel for great transformation.

Unical is a great institution however it’s digital approach to teaching seem to lack presentation material.
Of course University can b challenging and stressfull buh that doesn’t stop us from achieveing our goals and having fun while doing it , come let’s have some school fun work and forget our worries while doing them of course we all know all work and no play makes jack a doll boy
View moreThe non academic staff are probably the rudest category in the school, they pay very little attention to finding missing results of affected students. Classes are too compacted and stuffy. The labs aren’t wide to carry the number of students put in
View moreThe University of Calabar is a top-notch university. Despite the fact that they may also be highly rigid and obnoxious, lecturers are very knowledgeable and helpful to their students. The college is conveniently situated in the midst of the city, making it accessible to both on-campus and off-campus students, so finding accommodations wasn’t typically an issue. I believe that the quality and standard of the structures and classrooms should have been improved. There should be adequate seats available based on the carrying capacity and the number of pupils in a particular class.
View moreI like my programme because of its flexibility , some things I’d like to change are : The size of the lecture halls most lecture halls are so small that students are found standing or sitting on the floor whilst sweating . The white boards have turned dark making it hard to see what’s written on them in summary, learning is a hassle.
View moreThe program is a very important when considering the health of others, public health is wide and helps us understand that the health of not just anybody but the public is worthwhile. I will encourage pupils to engage themselves in the program. There will be no regrets
