To be honest, it’s not a poor school; rather, it’s just mediocre and has the potential to be much better. The school is operated by extremely unreliable individuals, and money is frequently misappropriated and embezzled by these individuals, with occasionally negative effects on the students, programs, building structures, and amenities. However, it’s a well-liked school that attracts students from the neighborhood. Student life is always active in Calabar since it is a beautiful city with wonderful residents and a vibrant environment. Since linguists are required in some occupations and walks of life, the job prospects for my field of study are currently quite good.
View moreWe have seasoned leturers. Its environment is safe and it has adequate buildings with a big and spacious campus. It has very good education, Law and Art programmes, but just like every other Federal University in Nigeria, the university goes on strike sometimes.
View moreI have been a fresher at the University of Calabar for well over 2 years. It is so disheartening to think that my juniors are a level or 2 levels ahead of me now. Although I would not particularly blame the University’s administration, I strongly believe that they have a major role to play in holding us back. The country is our problem, our leaders are fixed on making life hard for us all. Now all lecturers are on strike. I wonder whether this madness I’m the country and in our educational say would subside.
View moreOne frustrating thing at University of Calabar is the way lectures are being held. The lecturers are actually good and well educated but they lack this drive to communicate with students and they act like they are being forced to lecture
View moreI love this school alot but sometimes it’s hard to want to attend classes as most times seats aren’t enough for all the students to attend class. Many departments come together to have classes thereby causing an incredibly awful shortage of seats. The school should do better to resolve this issue.
View moreit’s a good school. Just like most schools, it has certain flaws that hinder it from being a top drawer higher institution. The School is run by highly underwhelming management and funds are often misused or embezzled even. Life outside of school is amazing, considering calabar is a beautiful city with wonderful people in it. In summary, it’s a good school and it provides an amazing experience. I would definitely want more people to come here
View moreLinguistics is a good programme but career prospects are not really up there. Student accomodations are really poor and also stuffy. Facilities here are not up to standard. Lecture halls are always crowded. In all, it’s a decent place.
View moreI don’t like the crowded classes ,it makes it hard to listen and pay attention,
And younger lectures should be Hired,
Classes time table are ok.
The lectures are deligent,They keep to class time table
