Studying Educational Psychology at the University of Calabar has been a fulfilling experience. The lecturers are knowledgeable and committed to their students’ success, and the course content is very relevant to real-life applications in education. I particularly enjoyed how the programme combines theory with practical approaches to understanding human learning and behavior.

On the downside, administrative processes can sometimes be slow, and facilities like libraries and internet access could be improved. The workload is also quite demanding, but it pushes you to stay disciplined.

Overall, I would recommend this programme to anyone passionate about psychology and education. It’s not always easy, but the knowledge and skills gained are worth it.

Students Academic performance lately in the University of Calabar has been very topnotch, considering advancement in technology, and the school management, embracing it as a tool to enhance learning.
For instance, before now 75% of Students Academic activities were not enhance through this means, it was more of manual idealogy, which often result to delay, and limit Students sel-evaluation at a time needed, but now is not so, Innovation has taken place.

While there are areas needing improvement particularly in resource allocation for practical training and enhanced student support. I also feel the issue that should be urgently looked into is the fairness and transparency of assessment methods used by lecturers. Issues such as unclear grading criteria, inconsistent feedback on assignments, and perceived biases in grading should be improved for the general well being of the students.

As a student of the University of Calabar, I have had a mix of experiences. One of the things I appreciate about the university is the sense of community among students and the supportive academic environment. The lecturers are knowledgeable and often go the extra mile to ensure students understand the course material. The campus is also well-located, giving access to the vibrant city life of Calabar.

The school environment is very conducive with good structures, Teachers and classroom management systems, good ethnicities, student associations, extracurricular activities, diverse course of study for anyone, both hybrid and on campus learning environments etc.

I strongly recommend this school for who ever is looking forward to having a great and satisfied student experience.

The university of Calabar is a pretty decent University, outside the condition of her lecture venues my years in this university was topnotch hilarious, seeing students jump windows conveniently to attend lectures. The truth is it has always been so congested, rowdy and nasty to a point but the lectures are always worth the hassle. I hear that the school is currently on renovation, finally! I just think the new vice chancellor is wise enough to take advantage of this indefinite strike period.

An alumni writing here. I graduated 4 years ago from the department of Library and information science. During my time there, the school was run under highly untrustworthy and greedy management who misused funds for projects like accommodation and Renovation of structures,some Professors were corrupt and certain programs weren’t accredited by the school which caused a lot of problems for students in those programs. Despite the institution’s shortcomings, I enjoyed my time there. Life outside of school as a student was amazing as Calabar is a fantastic city with amazing people and a beautiful culture. Lastly on career prospects, I would say it’s very limited in a place like Nigeria where programs like this aren’t much appreciated.

Lectures pay less attention to students, learning environment is not suitable, unavailability of school facilities.
School needs a lot of improvement with teaching and non teaching staffs and they also need to work on the student hostel.

I’ve had a decent time thus far. Its not a bad school neither is it a good school, its just an average school that has the potential to be so much better than it is. The School is run by highly untrustworthy people and funds are usually misused. Nevertheless, it’s a good school which people from around the area go to. Calabar is a beautiful city and it has wonderful people. Despite the school’s shortcomings, it’s still a good institution. I may sound a bit biased because I’m from the area but I’d recommend it to my friends surely.

Well, learning special Education in the university of calabar has been a mind opener and I’m super grateful on how much I’ve gotten to learn on Various disabilities and how they can be catered or rehabilated.
