i loved the peaceful environment and also the system of education was interactive. we also had field trips. departmental outings and get together. the lecturers were very friendly (at least most of them)
View moreCalabar was a “small-london” they said; A serene and quiet environment where anyone (no matter what they’ve come to do) can thrive successfully. I loved the sound of that, so I chose University of Calabar.
Prior to my Journey to School, I had high expectations – Affordable fees for indegenes (since I was one), School-friendly environment and a Student Board who cares about the welfare of the students. Was all these expectations met? Only 40%. Will I recommend UNICAL to aspiring Students? If you’re financially buoyant, Why not.
The way that they teach is so amazing and novel! They truly know how to inspire the pupils while still being understanding and patient with them. With a range of activities that enhance conversation, writing, and reading skills, they excel at fostering student confidence and maintaining an enjoyable and stimulating learning environment.
View moreAs a graduate of the paramedical sciences, I will say the school makes an effort in providing state-of-the-art facilities for a successful practical learning process. Not perfect yet but making an effort to get there
View moreUnical strives to get the best out of it’s students by strictly following and excellent and up to date scheme of work, the lecturers are also academically sound and strive to impact knowledge. Nevertheless sometimes administrative processes might cause a hitch, like when lecture time and venue clashes. But generally, the school can be said to be doing well.
View moreUniversity of Calabar is really nothing to write home about, from the poor academic standards to the nonchalant instructors, everything is a mess. The accomodations are in bad conditions, I wouldn’t really recommend.
View moreThe university is a top-notch one with good standards. It’s one that has produced great leaders over time.
I only dislike the overall lecture condition, sometimes not really conducive for students to learn.
Well I think the program is okay, although I feel like the school should provide more seats for students during classes and more classrooms so lecturers don’t have to cut short lectures for another class. The school should reduce the cost of textbooks and registration fees, thank you.
View moreUniversity of Calabar has poor facilities, with small lecture halls to accommodate students, which turn out to be a mess entirely because it’s always very congested. The administration runs the school very poorly, and students receive huge bills for no good reason.
View moreNot in an attempt to slander the school but the lack of lecture facilities is very disheartening, especially for students who have to get combined classes they get squeezed into a small hall and it is never healthy for learning heat and bad odour really makes it hard to concentrate
