The University of Calabar is one of the best universities in south-east of Nigeria. It is renown for it’s flexibility in the teaching and learning process with a well equipped physical library alongside an e-library and well qualified teaching staff. Noted for it’s reputation in churning and producing the best minds, some of which occupy top positions in different Universities in Cameroon. It is worthy to note, however, that the processing of students academic records is done manually without a digital platform to ease smooth access to student records. However, the positive aspects outweighs the negative. University of Calabar recommend a citadel of learning and environmental for preparing future leaders. I do therefore recommend this University to whoever seeking for a conducive and credible place to study
View moreUniversity of Calabar, Unical for short, is an institution prestigious just in the eyes of students who are not schooling.
While the environment is great as investments to buildings and lectures are implemented, the lecture halls are still not enough.
While I like the Unical environment for learning, I have found it t be inconsistent with it’s tuition and many more financial endeavors meant to be fulfilled by students.
Conclusively, I have found that the University is also inconsistent with protection of students Exams results as they should, but it’s a nice place to be.
View moreI think University of Calabar is a reputable Nigerian University full of excellence.
I like it’s experienced faculty, research opportunities, social activities and cultural diversity.
I dislike it’s infrastructure challenges, limited resources and bureaucratic processes.
I would recommend University of Calabar to others because UNICAL is a good option for students seeking quality education in Nigeria, especially in Medicine, Law, and Education. While it faces challenges, its strengths and diversity make it a valuable choice.
View moreI love the fact that they take into consideration the medical and practical-based courses.
Except for the fact that they tend admit more students than the available capacity, I’d gladly recommend. The current administration is really doing her best. Lots of improvement especially the timely manner in which lecturers are made to upload students’ results.
If there is one thing I despise, it is the slow pace of things and how difficult it is to pay for school obligations. On the other side, I believe I value how open and free the school climate is.
And certainly, I would strongly recommend it; if you cannot afford a private school, you are welcome to attend Unical; the choice is entirely yours.
I’m a student of UNICAL studying medical laboratory science. It’s a beautiful school with great leadership and disciplined lectures though the school lack enough lecture rooms it’ll be a great learning ground.
View moreThere are not many facilities at the university, and the few available lecture halls are relatively small. The lecturers at the school are not friendly in the slightest; they frequently miss class and don’t seem to care if the pupils are understanding or not. The school is run quite poorly.
View moreThe school administration at the school is not up to standard, dealing with things that don’t matter and ignoring the needs of students, excessive billing from the administration and lack of accreditation of courses
