I would say overall that the university is a very reputable institution – from it ranking top ten in Nigeria according to Times Higher Education and Edu Rank, to producing some of the brightest minds across the globe. However, my experience as an undergraduate who is in her penultimate year – currently on SIWES, has been a challenging one for me so far – from having lectures 8-5 everyday, to having marathon night classes preparing for exams, to having results that sometimes do not meet my expectations, coupled with the constant financial demands that being a student brings, it has been a rollercoaster for me. One major thing that has helped me this far is the God factor, then my Mum, my Uncle, and my friends – without them, I probably would have given up a long time ago. I’m still on the journey to having my first degree, and may not know it all, however I would encourage aspirants to surround themselves with the right people – people with like minds whose values align with theirs, and above all put God first in all they do.

what I love the most was the dedication of our lecturers, you could tell that they enjoyed what they were doing, and they ensured that they impacted us with their knowledge. What I disliked the most, was the poor state of the hostel facilities for students
View moreWell I can say that being amongst the top 10 best universities in Nigeria, this school has actually proven why it deserves to be on that list. We are talking of conducive learning environment, able and passionate lecturers, non teaching staffs who are willing and dedicated to rendering help when needed, easy and stress free learning processes and most of all a breathtaking school with a museum I view.
Although there are some flaws, else this review wouldn’t be real, those are what gives the students the fulfilling experience that can only be gotten in an educational setting.
I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.
