ABU is a very good and outstanding university, it is an environment that is free of toxicity and it allows us as students to strive, grow and learn in. I do not dislike anything about the school. I will recommend ABU always.

Like many large federal universities in Nigeria, ABU Zaria faces challenges such as overcrowding, infrastructure that could use upgrades, and administrative delays.

Yes, I would recommend ABU Zaria—particularly for students who value academic depth, diversity, and history.

I love my school because students here are serious about their studies. We hardly experience academic failure, and studying hard gives you the opportunity to graduate with good results and save yourself from trouble.

What I don’t like about my school, however, is the discrimination between the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Education. There are some courses that both faculties take together, but if an Education student has a class in their department that clashes with one in the Faculty of Science, the schedule is never adjusted for us. We just have to give up one of the classes.

Another problem we face is that during CBT exams, we sometimes have up to three exams scheduled in a single day.

I never regretted my decision to study in the northern part of Nigeria. Coming from the southwestern region, I was eager to experience a different culture and environment. One of the best parts of schooling in the North is its affordable standard of living — it’s truly student-friendly and accommodating for people from all financial backgrounds.

If any young person asked for my advice, I would proudly recommend my school because it offers quality education at a very reasonable cost. Beyond academics, my time there shaped me spiritually and personally. The environment encouraged me to grow closer to God and reminded me of the importance of prayer and discipline. Studying there didn’t just give me a degree — it transformed my outlook on life in the best way.
