My experience at the university has been both educational and challenging. While I appreciate the effort made by the institution to provide learning opportunities, I believe it still falls short of meeting the full standards expected of a modern university.
In terms of lecturing experience, some lecturers are committed and knowledgeable, but there is a lack of consistency in teaching quality. Many classes are not well-organized, and lessons sometimes start late or are cancelled without proper communication. In some cases, lecturers do not provide enough practical or research-based learning, which affects students’ understanding and academic growth. The use of outdated teaching materials and limited access to modern technology also makes it difficult for students to keep up with current trends in their fields.
When it comes to administration, the level of professionalism needs serious improvement. Many students experience delays in getting academic records, results, or support services. Communication between departments is often poor, and decision-making processes are slow and unclear.
Overall, the university has great potential, but it needs to improve its teaching standards, management systems and communication to provide students with a better academic experience and meet the full standards of higher education.
View moreGood infrastructure and accommodation. I would recommend it. The teaching part not so wife needs an improvement. The feee lifestyle of students makes them explore more and conduct according to their will.
View moreThe school has nice accommodation facilities that create a conducive environment for studying. Unfortunately, being a public university, it does not receive good funding from government due to economic challenges in Malawi
View moreOverall I can say it’s a good place for eduction and the staff is so dedicated and progresssive in their actions and the lessons.
I liked the institution simply because there are a lot of students at the campus and the resources were quite enough for all though there were some which were not fully established so it was hard to get to understand some information.
Talking of dislikes, I would say the extracurriculars were so restricted and it was so hard for the part of socialisation to the students. And also the level of withdrawing student on perfomance grounds was too harsh to the students
As for now yes I would recommend for someone to be there for education advancement because they make sure students complete there studies in the projected time.
