What is an Accounting & Finance degree?
An Accounting & Finance degree focuses on the management of monetary resources available to an organization. Such a degree is aimed at students who want to pursue careers in investment analysis, management, banking, auditing, consulting and financial management. It teaches students how to assess the assets and liabilities of an organization financially and manage the financial risk of their activity.

Accounting & Finance Degree Structure
An Accounting & Finance degree’s duration varies depending on the country and degree level. In some countries, such as the United Kingdom, Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting & Finance can be completed in three years. However, universities also offer students the option to take a sandwich course, which allows them to undertake a year-long placement between their second and third year, which extends the course to four years. Four years is the regular time of completion of this degree in other countries, such as the United States.
The first year of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance introduces the core principles of accounting and finance, including financial accounting, management accounting and finance as well as economics and business law. The second year’s focus is usually on managerial and business economics, financial control, corporate finance and company accounts, but optional modules might enable students to pursue their interests in other aspects of Accounting & Finance such as auditing or strategic business analysis. StudentMAAverage teaching experience, bad facilitiesI studied in this university for five years. The teachers are okay. Some of them aren’t that great. Some of them are really old. They don’t hire young teachers, which is not in the advantage of students. Some teachers don’t come and they don’t even notify you, so you have to go to class and at the end the teacher is not there. The teaching is average for some teachers. Some teachers, they teach very well, but it’s not over 100% in all cases. The facilities are really, really bad. The campus is really bad. The infrastructure is really bad. There’s holes. There are like consequences of earthquakes still there. They only take care of green spaces. They don’t even take care of the classes. LeilaMAQuality Learning, Admin ChallengesMy experience at Université Cadi Ayyad (UCA) in Marrakech has been mixed. On the positive side, the university has a good academic reputation, especially in scientific fields, and I found several professors to be knowledgeable and approachable. The campus is large, with improving facilities and diverse programs, which makes it a good choice for many students.
However, there are also challenges. The administration can be slow to respond to students’ needs, and schedule or exam changes are not always communicated clearly. With such a large student population, classes can sometimes feel overcrowded, which makes it harder to get personalized attention.
Overall, I would recommend UCA for students who value solid academic training and are willing to navigate some bureaucratic and organizational difficulties. It is a good option in Morocco, but there is definitely room for improvement in student support and communication.

Studying at Cadi Ayyad University has been an enriching journey for me. The academic environment is vibrant and diverse, fostering a sense of community among students from various backgrounds. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, always willing to help students outside of class hours.
One of the aspects I particularly appreciate is the emphasis on practical learning. Many courses incorporate hands-on projects and real-world applications, which have significantly enhanced my understanding of the subject matter. Additionally, the university offers various extracurricular activities that allow students to engage with their peers and develop valuable skills.
However, there are areas for improvement. Sometimes, administrative processes can be slow, which can be frustrating when trying to get things done quickly. I also wish there were more resources available for student support services.
Overall, I would highly recommend Cadi Ayyad University to anyone looking for a solid education in a supportive environment. The experiences I’ve gained here will undoubtedly shape my future endeavors!
