My experience at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University at Fes has been a mix of frustration and appreciation. Honestly, my connection with the university didn’t start in the best way. I missed my entire first year due to Covid, which made it hard to feel integrated or build a strong academic foundation early on. That period created a sense of distance between me and the university experience.
However, things changed significantly in the following years. Once I started attending in person, I found myself enjoying the environment much more. The later years were genuinely positive, I met good people, had meaningful academic experiences, and felt more engaged with my studies. The atmosphere on campus, the interactions with classmates, and some of the courses really made a difference.
So overall, my feelings are mixed. The beginning was disconnected and disappointing, but the ending was rewarding and memorable. If anything, my journey here shows that a rough start doesn’t necessarily define the whole experience.

The English department provides good courses and dedicated professors, even though classes can be large at times. The campus has a lively atmosphere and plenty of academic activities. Overall, FLDM is a good place to study for students interested in languages and humanities.
